ARAN 2012 Field Day Activities

We will be keeping this post updated as more information becomes available about ARAN's 2012 Field Day Preparations.

Setup: June 23th from 8:00am (03:00 UTC) to 1:00pm (18:00 UTC) Saturday June 23th, 2011.

Operation: June 23th from 1:00pm (18:00 UTC) Saturday to 1:00pm (18:00 UTC) Sunday June 24th, 2011.

Opening Ceremonies: Will be June 23th at 12:00pm (17:00 UTC).

Demonstrations: We will have several demonstrations through out the day.  Including the Satellite Communications, the Schedule will be announced later.

Area Clubs: The Grand Island Amateur Radio Society will be attending and helping out with demonstrations and manning the stations.

1st Annual Flea Market: We will be having a Ham related flea market.  There will be no cost, but it is BYOT (bring your own table).  Get rid of some of the junk your XYL has been complaining about, or bring some more home.

Call In: ARAN's 145.130 repeater.
Equipment:

At this time two stations are planned to be in operation with an additional GOTA (Get on the Air) station available for use.  One or both stations will be setup for digital operation.
Testing:
Saturday June 23rd 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Food:
Barbecue on Saturday Evening.  We will be providing Hamburgers thanks to the generous contribution of Mike KDØQEO.  Please bring any side dishes and deserts that you would like to contribute.
