IN ANOTHER ARTICLE, I WAS TALKING ABOUT MODIFYING OLD 2 METER OR UHF RADIOS WITHOUT DTMF
TONES TO ACCESS REFLECTORS OR NODES. JUST ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED INTO THE SOLUTION FOR SOME PEOPLE. MULTIPSK VERSION 4.15 JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE A DTMF TONE BUTTON AMONG IT'S MODES. THE BUTTON IS HALF WAY DOWN AND TO THE LEFT CENTER NEAR THROB AND PAX.
I PLACED SIX SPACES BETWEEN THE NUMBERS TO ALLOW A LITTLE TIME SUCH AS YOU MAY DO IF DIALING THESE FOUR DIGITS FROM THE KEYPAD. I FOUND IT TO WORK THE FIRST TRY. IT ACCURATELY
ACQUIRED THE RIGHT NODE I DIALED. THERE COULD BE LIMITATIONS SUCH AS DIALING TOO FAST, TOO SLOWLY OR THE COMPUTERS VOLUME TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW. THE SPEAKER OR MICROPHONES QUALITY, BUT THE DTMF TONES HAVE BEEN USED FOR YEARS AND THEY DON'T FALTER TOO MANY TIMES.
SO JUST GIVE THOSE RADIOS A TRY AND DOWN LOAD MULTIPSK AND ALL SHOULD WORK WELL.
