Severe Weather Spotters

ARAN has been asked to assist in weather spotting this year.  While we are getting started on this late this year, I hope we can move on this and get organized quickly.

To facilitate this process I have appointed a Emergency Coordinator Committee with the responsibility of contacting area hams in Adams and surrounding counties to help with this task.

I have appointed Ron Young KDØHCH and Brad Harpham KDØJCP to the committee so far.  I plan on adding one other member as soon as I can reach him.  They will be contacting people in the next week and then creating a list for each county and asking someone from each county to act as that counties coordinator.

We also hope to use this list as responders to area hospitals in case they have a communications emergency.  This is in response to the grant money we received from the Trimmers group to upgrade our repeaters.  We will forward a call list to area hospitals that they can contact if they need help in an emergency with communications.
