Decided to operate CW only in the NE QSO Party as a warm-up to FD and the IARU Contest.  Only managed to put in about 4 hours and conditions were not great, but managed 142 QSO's/38 States/5 DX.  Haven't figured up the score yet.  There was plenty of stations wanting Webster Co. and it was good pileup practice as well.

My main interest in operating is CW contesting/DXing, so this type of contest is a good warm up!  Only down side was that the Florida QSO party was the same time and there were LOTS of those guys calling CQ up and down 20M.  That, plus the new plasma TV next door, caused a bit of consternation!

Hope to have more time for FD and the CW SS this fall!

Mark,

Does that mean you want to sign up to man one of the stations for field day this year?  Wink
