THOSE ZERO'S WITH A SLASH THROUGH THEM Ø
THIS WAS A MYSTERY TO ME, AND GARY, NØSJM WAS NICE ENOUGH TO CLUE ME IN.
SO WHEN YOU NEED TO TYPE Ø, WITH THE NUMBER LOCK ON, HOLD DOWN THE ALT KEY AND TYPE 0216 ON THE NUMBER PAD AND THAT SHOULD MAKE Ø.
MYSTERY SOLVED,  THANKS GARY.

Using the Ø with a slash thruogh it is fine for word processing and some other programs, BUT don't use it when you are setting up a new digi program or some of the other ham radio software...... Your computer will read it as a special control command and you will get some very interesting results........ when entering any information into a ham program use a regular 0 (not "O").     Woody
