I really look forward to participating in severe weather situations this season. My volunteering will be at the NWS, operating vhf, uhf, IRLP as needed. Coordinating, relaying and confirming weather information back to interested parties including Emergency Managment in needed counties. Getting equipped, and set up with new and solid repeaters, IRLP etc is exciting and should harmonize quite well with allready well run, existing systyms, such as the National Weather Service in Hastings, Adams county Emergency Managment, and many surrounding counties and communities. My personal thanks to those who have been working hard for quite a few months in putting things together where local ham radio operators can assist in a first class way! If it must rain, thunder, lightning, hail or tornado, then so be it. I believe we will be in position to make a difference with any local or even state emergency. Thanks - see ya this spring!
