After tens of hours of work, we are proud to launch our new website layout.

The goal was to clean up the design and make it easier to read and use.  We hope we accomplished that goal.

It is optimized to work well with the Google Chrome and Fire Fox Browsers.  It will work fine with Internet Explorer, but some of the objects will be more square.

    A few highlights:

    1.  The slider at the top was designed to allow first time visitors to see a brief overview of what ARAN has to offer.

    2.  We have redesigned the menu to have most everything accessible at the top of the page.

    3. The local nets and repeaters are listed in the boxes on the right side.  For those of you that know this information and don't want to see it, just click on the “-” button on the box and it will collapse it.  Let me know if you see any information that needs to be updated.

    4.  There is a lot of information and controls at the bottom of the page.  Again, if you don't want to see it, just collapse it.  We have added a “My ARAN” section for quick access to your information.

    5.  We have added a Shoutbox feature.  This is used for quick posts and updates.  A good example would be “Hey 10 Meters has just opened up!”.

    6.  We added a Weather Alert Box.  This will show any Wx alerts for Adams County.  If you click on the heading, it will take you to a page that shows all of the Alerts in Nebraska.

    7.  We have added a “Solar Terrestrial Data” Block to give you up to date Solar Information.

We hope you enjoy the updates and let us know if you have any problems or see any errors.

Love the new look!  Especially, the weather section.  You do fine work!  Thanks for doing everything that you do, and doing it so good.  You are definitely an asset to the club, and to the community.    Steve
